To do this, we build a team of innovative and passionate scientists that work together to solve complex problems. The Scavuzzo lab is an inclusive space where individuals can thrive as they learn and grow as researchers and move closer to achieving their goals. Here, we do cool science and we have fun doing it.
Please email Marissa your CV and a short description of why you are interested to work in a research lab and your anticipated time commitment.
Students interested in PhD training in the lab must be accepted to the CWRU Biomedical Sciences Training Program or the Medical Sciences Training Program. You do not need to choose a graduate program when accepted to these programs. Students choose labs to rotate in and interested students can reach out to Marissa to set up a rotation.
Postdoc candidates interested in the lab should email Marissa your CV, a brief summary of your research interests moving forward, and information for 3 references.
Research technicians and staff scientists should email Marissa your CV, a brief summary of your research interests moving forward, and information for 3 references.
The Scavuzzo lab supports trainees in a variety of programs, including the Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP), the Youth Engaged in Science/Scientific Enrichment and Opportunity (YES/SEO) program, and the Rise Up Scholars program. Those interested in working in the Scavuzzo lab must apply to these programs and then email Marissa.
